2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
2.2 Usage Data
We record usage metrics including searches performed, verifications run, API calls made, and credits consumed. This data is used for billing, rate limiting, and service improvement.
2.3 Search & Verification Data
When you use Email Finder, Domain Search, or Email Verifier, we process the input data (names, domains, email addresses) you provide. Search results — including discovered email addresses, job titles, and verification statuses — are stored in your account for your reference.
2.4 Automatically Collected Information
We collect standard web analytics data including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and pages visited. We use this to maintain security and improve the Service.

- To monitor usage and enforce rate limits and fair use

4. Email Data & Business Contact Information
BlueWeb discovers and verifies business email addresses only. We do not target personal email accounts. Our verification process connects to mail servers via SMTP handshake without sending any emails. No messages are ever delivered to the addresses being verified.
Business contact data returned by our Service is derived from publicly available sources. If you believe your business email address has been included in our results and you wish to be excluded, please contact us at privacy@blueweb.ai and we will process your request promptly.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and infrastructure hosting providers who assist in operating the Service.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- AES-256 encryption at rest for stored data
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
- Salted password hashing (bcrypt) for account credentials
- API key hashing — we never store raw API keys
- Regular security reviews and dependency auditing
7. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Search results and verification history are retained for 12 months from the date of the query. Usage records are retained for billing purposes for 24 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
